Living Trust

A Living Trust, also referred to as a Family Revocable Trust, is the foundation of any estate plan. A Living Trust is simply a revocable trust you create while you're alive, rather than one that is created at your death. It is a written legal document that partially substitutes for a will. With a Living Trust, your assets (your home, bank accounts and stocks, for example) are put into the trust, administered for your benefit during your lifetime, and then transferred to your beneficiaries when you die.

There are many benefits to having a Living Trust: 1) putting your wishes on paper; 2) your heirs avoid the time consuming and costly process of Probate Court; and 3) your heirs can avoid IRS estate tax, if tax planning is incorporated into your Living Trust.

The Law Offices of Dawson G. Crawford can assist you with a Living Trust throughout all of California, including Santa Clara County, San Mateo County, San Francisco County, Contra Costa County, Marin County, and Santa Cruz County.
